Sea Glass Mosaic Art

For more than 15 years, I have walked the shores of Prince Edward Island, collecting pieces of sea glass shaped by the tides, waves, and passage of time. Each fragment carries its own history—once discarded, now transformed by nature into a smooth and beautiful treasure.

My sea glass mosaics are created by hand on paper and wood, using these carefully gathered pieces to tell new stories through art. Inspired by the beauty of the coastline, the rhythm of the ocean, and the joy of discovering hidden gems along the shore, each artwork is thoughtfully designed to celebrate the unique colours, textures, and character of the sea glass.

No two pieces are ever alike. Every mosaic is a reflection of my connection to the sea, my love of collecting, and my passion for transforming nature's gifts into meaningful works of art.

Hand-Painted Silk Scarves & Textile Art

Each piece is a one-of-a-kind expression of colour, movement, and light.

My hand-painted silk scarves are created on fine silk, where pigment and fabric meet in a delicate conversation. As the paint touches the surface, it naturally flows through the weave, creating soft transitions, luminous blends, and organic patterns that can never be exactly repeated.

Every scarf is individually painted by hand, making each work a unique piece of wearable art.

The Process

I work directly on stretched silk, allowing the paints to move freely across the surface while guiding them with brushwork and intention. Some areas are defined with gentle control, while others are left to flow naturally, embracing the unpredictability of the medium.

Once the painting is complete, the silk is carefully fixed so the colours remain vibrant, lasting, and luminous over time.

Inspired by Nature & Texture

My work is inspired by the subtle movement of nature—water, wind, stone, and light. I am especially drawn to texture and flow, and how colour can shift and evolve depending on how it is seen and worn.

No two pieces are ever the same. Each scarf carries its own rhythm, its own mood, and its own story.

Wearable Art

These scarves are designed not only to be worn, but to be experienced. Draped on the body, the silk moves with you—reflecting light, shifting tones, and revealing new details from every angle.

They can be worn as accessories, displayed as textile art, or collected as individual works.

PEI Red Earth Dyed Silk Scarves

These scarves begin with the land itself.

Each piece is first dyed using natural Prince Edward Island red earth, creating warm, mineral-rich tones that root the silk in the landscape where the pigment is gathered. This earth-derived colour becomes the foundation of every design—soft rusts, terracotta hues, and grounded ochres that feel both ancient and alive.

Once the silk has absorbed this natural base, I hand-paint each scarf individually, allowing colour and gesture to respond to the organic variations already present in the fabric. The result is a layered dialogue between earth and paint, structure and flow.

In the heart of "Vibrant Visions," lies an emotional journey depicted on canvas. This section showcases an array of human emotions: joy, love, sorrow, hope, and everything in between —expressed through a riot of colors and artistic techniques. The artists' brushstrokes dance across the canvas, conveying the intricacies of the human experience with depth and authenticity. As viewers delve into these emotional landscapes, they are encouraged to embrace their own feelings and connect with the shared humanity that binds us all.
